The pub looks a little shabby, and the conservatory window frames could use some attention, but it’s still a really nice place. We had a lovely meal, the food was tasty and the service was excellent. We’ll call in again next time we’re in Robin Hoods Bay.

Lots of people drive straight past on their way to the bay, even though it’s only an 8-minute walk from this pub. I’d recommend stopping for a beer and some great food, and making use of the car park. The hospitality was excellent, and the venison casserole and steak pie from the specials board were fabulous, with good-sized portions at a fair price.

After a day in Robin Hood’s Bay, this pub in Fylingthorpe is a great place to stop for a meal. It’s only a short walk from the bay. The Radfords beef burger was really tasty, and the homemade burger sauce was a nice extra. I also enjoyed the fungi chicken parmo, which was delicious and very filling.

The welcome and hospitality were wonderful, and the dogs were made very welcome too. They even got their own bowl of treats and fresh water whenever they needed it. Thanks for the lovely service, I’d highly recommend this place. P.S. The White Rat was cheaper here than anywhere else we’ve been.

We stopped in for Sunday dinner and had no complaints. The lamb dinner was fantastic with a few Wainwrights alongside it. The place was clean and tidy, in a nice location, with pleasant staff and a car park. I’d recommend it if you’re nearby.
