Being so close to the forge was a real bonus, and we had a brilliant time there too. The B&B had that relaxing old-fashioned feel, and the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at both places.

Breakfast was generous, with cereal, yoghurts, toast and cooked food all laid out ready. The room had a slightly old-fashioned look, but it was comfortable, and there was fresh milk in the fridge. They'd also left bubble bath and shower gel in the bathroom. A great base for the oldfield forge, and I really enjoyed staying here.

A handy place to stop overnight, with good food and drinks. The pub sits right on the Welsh English Border, and there's some interesting local history too.

The owners were helpful and friendly, and there's a good range of dishes on the menu. It's a welcoming country pub. I'll be back often.

The steak and chips was delicious, and the local beer was good too. I hadn't expected the food to be as good as it was, though the menu is very limited. A few of the puddings aren't homemade.
