This place should be shut down. Breakfast was a toaster with no bread, cereal with no milk, and tea and coffee with no milk, sugar or kettle. I grabbed an ice lolly from the freezer and left. We'd booked two rooms and arrived at 12.15 after driving down from the north east of england. They said they knew nothing about the booking, even though we had the confirmation email and the money had left my account. After an argument and a call from the owner, they said it would be sorted by 5. We left our bags in the one room. When we returned, they said we'd have to share. No chance: we're men in our mid-50s, the bed was a small double, and one of us snores like a bear, known as the motorbike. I slept on the dining room floor using my camping mat and sleeping bag from the car. Stay here only if you're fine sleeping on the floor in your own bedding and want an Eskimo breakfast in December.

I had a great time here. For what you pay, you get more than five stars. I don't understand expecting a £200 experience when you're paying £20; those expectations seem bizarre. Thank you, Nicole, for being such a good host. The other negative reviews must be insane.

This was totally inadequate as a guest house. I had to stay at their other accommodation, No 67 Priestfield Road. The carpet was stained and the bedding had seen better days. There was no toilet roll in the lavatory. When I asked, they said they don't leave any there because it gets taken, like in a DSS place. One star at most.

Avoid this place. The staff were very rude and asked for a dodgy bank transfer before handing over the keys. They also haven't returned my deposit as promised after I moved out, and now they're ignoring me. It feels like travellers are being scammed. I'll see what the local council thinks about this brothel. It's time to shut it down.

Avoid at all costs. The place was filthy, and they tried to charge double when I arrived. There were no towels. In the middle of the night I woke up with a bottle top under my back, beneath the “fresh bedsheets.” Customer service was vile. This place isn't worth £5 a night.
