Boclair House Hotel

We were fortunate to stay the night after attending a wedding here. It's a beautiful building with lovely grounds, and a fantastic wedding venue. The bedrooms are exceptional, and every staff member we met was lovely and gave great service. The wedding meal was very good, and breakfast the next morning was tasty. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced for somewhere like this. A marvellous venue, thoroughly recommended.

The venue and gardens were perfect, the bedrooms gorgeous, and the whole hotel spotless and well maintained. My daughter's wedding here yesterday was made amazing by the entire team, who went above and beyond. The food was excellent. A special thanks to Alex, who was amazing, and Nic, who was so accommodating. The receptionist was pleasant to everyone and even switched on the Bandstand lights especially for us. The guys at the bar handled everything so professionally, and Eileen patiently answered our questions. Huge well done and thank you to everyone. Yvonne, Rachel's mum.

We had a fantastic night at the wedding reception. The staff were great, and the lighting really made the room feel special, with colour-changing chandeliers and LEDs across the ceiling. From the moment we arrived, the immaculate entrance and grounds made a strong impression. Full credit to the gardeners and maintenance team. The elegance continues indoors, too. The breakout room had a lively, welcoming feel, and the bar staff kept queues short. The function suite looks stylish, though its layout has a few quirks. The mirrored pillars break up the space, and when the room is full, the long, narrow dance floor makes it feel tight. There was no cloakroom, so jackets kept getting knocked off chairs. Mine ended up on the floor and nearly got soaked by a leak from the air-con above. The main thing I'd improve is the sound. The wall-mounted Bose speakers made the music wash over the room instead of filling it, and a subwoofer would help. I was a DJ for many years and played at countless venues like Boclair, so I know getting sound right in a room like this can be challenging. The mic wasn't an issue I heard during the night, though. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't speak to the rooms. We did glimpse one guest room, and it looked fantastic. A beautiful place with great staff and a brilliant atmosphere. I'd give it 9/10. We got married at Boclair on 21.06.2025, and it was the best day of our lives. The team was amazing from beginning to end, and nothing felt like a bother. It was magical. Honestly, I'd do it all over again if I could.
