The room was cosy, comfortable, and really good value. We felt safe in the lovely area of Eaglesham, and we’ll definitely return as a family. I’m originally from Glasgow and still have family there, so my daughter and I used the hotel as a base for a few days of regular visits, even though we now live in Manchester. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The gentleman at reception, who I think may have been one of the owners, immediately engaged with my daughter, and that was just the start of the lovely service. We saw him again at breakfast. My daughter has coeliac disease, and he took care to accommodate her. He gave her an oat bar on the first morning, then went out to get gluten-free porridge the next day after we mentioned it was one of her favourites. That thoughtfulness meant a lot. It’s a brilliant little hotel I must have driven past countless times when I lived in Glasgow. I’m so glad we finally stayed. Great service, cosy rooms, and fantastic value. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality 😄

The room was warm, the bed comfortable, and the road outside quiet. Breakfast was good, and the staff were pleasant and attentive. I stayed in room 30. It was a nice hotel and the rooms were well appointed, though a few details needed attention. I arrived at 8.30pm on Friday and was immediately told the kitchen had closed, with no food or snacks available. The shower had poor pressure and kept changing temperature. Its door wouldn’t stay shut, so it kept popping open and spraying water onto the floor. The receptionist did show me a workaround to keep the temperature steady, though the pressure stayed weak. I couldn’t get the remote to work the TV, which needed new batteries, so I was stuck on the golf channel. Not a huge issue. There were scratching noises in the eaves above the room, maybe birds or pigeons nesting. It was unnerving at first and annoying around midnight, though at checkout the receptionist said it was part of their weekly checks. I suppose that’s part of staying in a charming old building rather than a bigger chain hotel.

We’ve stayed here several times for my husband’s work, and every visit has been great. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with good heating and excellent shower pressure. Breakfast is freshly cooked and really tasty, and the service is outstanding. Whoever runs the hotel has clearly put a lot of thought into making guests feel welcome and comfortable, and the staff have been trained really well.

We had a lovely family lunch here. The food and service were great, and the January set menu was excellent value. We’ll be back soon to try the Sunday roast.

The hotel and restaurant were nice, and the room was adequate for what we needed for a one-night stay in Glasgow for a wedding a few weeks ago. What brought the rating down was being woken around 7am on Monday by loud renovation work in the room next door. They were sanding the adjoining wall, and it was very noisy. I understand rooms need renovating now and then, but doing that beside an occupied room is inconsiderate. They could have waited until after checkout. Not everyone wants an early start during a wedding night away. I emailed the hotel about it and got no reply. An acknowledgement and apology would have been enough, but being ignored was poor service. This was about four weeks ago, so they’ve had plenty of time to respond.
