There’s a bath with water jets, though I’d have preferred a walk-in shower. The bathroom itself was good, with a shelf for a wash bag. The hot water tank seems to be in the bedroom wardrobe and makes noise after it’s used. The floor-to-ceiling windows are nice, but there are no blackout blinds, so the light woke me at 6:30. The door has a basic regular key, and the main entrance always seemed to be unlocked with a receptionist there. The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, and washing machine. You can use the gym next door for free, but you need to get a card from reception and walk round the outside to reach it. Wi-Fi was slow. There’s no office desk, though the kitchen dining table can be used, and there’s no coffee table.

Glasgow was fantastic, with things to do day and night, and we had a great time during our 14 days there. The apartments are central for all activities, on a main bus route covering the city and surrounding areas, and close to the metro, the Clockwork Orange. The main railway stations are only a short walk away. We had a car in the apartments’ secure car park and only used it once, to visit the Kelpies on the A9 by Falkirk. We stayed in July 2014, a couple of weeks before the commonwealth games. The apartment and staff were second to none. My one moan is that Tesco accept deliveries very, very early in the morning!

The apartments are spacious, nicely serviced, and have great views across the city. The location is great too. They could do with some updating and a tidy up, but they’re very reasonable and I’ll definitely stay again.

The location was good and the staff were helpful, but my room looked tired in a lot of places and I didn’t think it was worth what I paid. I wouldn’t stay again until it’s refurbished. The no-visitor rule also seems silly for a city. I’d understand it after 9pm to prevent parties.

We stayed for one night in a clean, spacious apartment with a very nice view. There was a lot of noise at night, though, with the water tank filling up loudly and banging sounds.
