Stephen, Alannah and Jackie in the bar and restaurant made the stay especially good. They were warm, attentive, and made sure we had what we needed. Robin at the Spa also made our visit feel special and really positive. The food was lovely, too. We spent a fantastic couple of days at the hotel and its facilities, with a two night DBB break and spa treatments booked separately. I’ll definitely visit again. Thank you!

We stayed for a couple of nights with our dog Jess and loved the peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings. The reception team, especially Victor, and the housekeeping staff gave excellent service. In fact, everyone was attentive, smart and professional. We’ve been here before, and the standards have clearly improved. We won’t hesitate to return. Well done to the whole team.

The rooms were spacious, clean, very tartan, and well appointed. We were there overnight for a family catch up. Dinner in the bar was delicious, as the restaurant was closed for the time of year. Staff were attentive without hovering. Breakfast was a letdown. They started clearing things at 9.30 even though service ran until 10, and several items had already been removed, leaving the continental selection looking sparse for people who arrived after us. There seemed to be only one server at first, and there were no juice glasses. Sorry folks, but the coffee was awful, bitter, over brewed and tasted of ash. The communal areas also felt tired and needed a deep clean.

My sister and I had a full body massage, head massage and facial at the spa, and we both thought it was the best massage we’d ever had. Siobhan and Amy gave the best service. Lunch was great too. We’ll definitely be back.
