Premier Inn Glasgow East

The atmosphere was pleasant, the location great, and it was cozy inside. The American burger tasted good, but it and the fries were barely warm. Service was a letdown: after we ordered at the bar as usual, the lad brought the plates, asked who had which dish, set them down and walked off. There was no cutlery or napkin, nobody told us where to find them or the condiments, and not even an “enjoy your meal.” We won’t be back. We’ve never had that sort of experience at a Wetherspoon before.

It was comfortable and convenient for getting around, with everything close by. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and gave good service throughout my stay. The place feels a little dated and the heating could use an upgrade. Still, it’s a decent option if a good location, clean rooms and helpful service are what you need.

The room was warm and the bed was great, though it could do with refurbishment, especially the bathroom. There were signs of a major leak: the bath panel was warped and the ceiling had been repaired but was partly mouldy. I couldn’t leave the bathroom door open overnight to let heat through because the fan was so whiny.

Writing this for my Aunt June. She and her partner are regular guests, and we’d like to give the restaurant team at Bellshill Farm Premier Inn a well deserved five stars. They’re attentive and keen to help, even when customers are difficult. Kyle and Kirsten are both especially polite and understanding, and a real credit to the company.
