The Oak Tree Inn

Dinner was tasty pub grub, and breakfast was a good buffet with plenty of choice. We stayed in a superior pod, which was surprisingly spacious, with a nice seating area, a comfy bed, and a porch where we could sit and enjoy the scenery. Dressing gowns, tea, coffee, and a kettle were provided. I did miss having water or hot chocolate in the room, and a little fridge would've helped. We'll definitely come back.

The location right on Loch Lomond is wonderful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed during our West Highland Way journey and loved it. The staff were lovely, helpful, and attentive. They arranged a taxi for us and let us leave our bags before check-in, really going the extra mile.

The food was incredible, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our little dog was treated like a princess, and the tidy rooms had everything we needed. You can't get to the loch directly from the accommodation, but it's a short walk away. Follow the loch to the right for a lovely stretch of the WHW. The restaurant and coffee shop are well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff!

The location is stunning, the food was great, and most of the team were fantastic. We ended our meal listening to a brilliant live keyboardist outside, a lovely touch. It's our second visit, and the front desk service took the shine off what was otherwise nearly a five-star experience. We'd booked a month ahead for 2:30 PM, but Rose Mary told us to join the walk-in queue. With the policy saying a table is lost after 15 minutes, we were anxious we'd miss our reservation, especially after a day climbing local hills. Fortunately another staff member called out for reservations, or we'd have missed our slot. When we politely explained the mix-up to Rose Mary, she didn't seem to care. She came across as blunt and unwelcoming, despite seeming like a senior team member. Rose Mary let down a hardworking team that otherwise knows how to welcome guests. Thanks to everyone else for a wonderful afternoon.
