This is one of the better Premier Inns I've stayed at. Reception staff were happy and friendly, and my room was quiet, so I slept well. The bathroom needs a deep clean, though it is clean overall and has the usual mould growth that could be cleaned. My main gripe is the single-ply toilet paper. It's useless and really annoying, and that's the case across all Premier Inns. I stay at Premier Inns often, and some are better than others. Usually the trouble is miserable staff, outside noise disturbing sleep, or, in one case, a decision by the company.

Mel at the desk was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. She was also a big help with finding our way around the local area. The rooms had everything we needed and were great. I'll definitely be back, hopefully soon.

The rooms are small but laid out well, with good use of the space. They were soundproof, the beds were comfortable, and the restaurant next door had a family-friendly breakfast menu where children can eat free. The English breakfast was good. I also appreciated the attention to recycling in England. Everyone in town was friendly, helpful and relaxed, and we had a lovely time in Glastonbury. As a US tourist, my first impression was a bit of a culture shock. My GPS took us off the route it had originally mapped, and we drove past what I thought was a homeless camp: a blocked-off pedestrian and bike path with litter and garbage, plus small abandoned-looking camper trailers along the streets. On my final day I read in the Somerset news that the caravans belonged to people on a pilgrimage. It wasn't a homeless camp like ones I've seen in the US.

The hotel was clean, and the bathroom looked very clean and recently renovated. Dinner at the restaurant was good value, with £5 meal deals. Breakfast was disappointing, though: there were no vegetarian options, and no tomatoes on the second day. At first the parked caravans outside the Premier Inn were off-putting, but there are caravans around much of Glastonbury.

The Premier plus room was good, and the staff were the highlight. They’re friendly, know the area well, and are quick to help if anything needs sorting. I’ve always found them helpful.
