Greyhound Cottage

The garden was lovely, and I can imagine it looking stunning when the flowers are out in summer. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, with a comfy bed and plenty of warmth on a chilly night. Breakfast came in a beautiful room, with a choice of cooked food, fruit, cereals and more. Booking was simple, check-in details were provided, and everything at the property matched what we’d been told. Our hosts were delightful, showed us where things were, then gave us space while staying close by if we needed anything. Communication was great, and checking out was easy and pleasant. We’d read good reviews beforehand and were excited to stay. It lived up to them, and we hope to return soon.

The garden views were lovely, and breakfast was superb. The rooms were comfortable, with everything we might need thoughtfully provided, and the hosts were excellent. It’s a beautifully cared-for old Tudor house that used to be an inn. We had an amazing stay.

The Four Poster suite had real charm and felt luxurious, with a very comfortable bed and daily room cleaning. We also loved the peaceful garden, with lots of seating tucked into private spots. Kay and Doug were attentive and engaging, and treated us so kindly. Breakfast had a great selection, with coffee and tea topped up regularly. They’re a lovely, gentle couple, and we’re so glad we met them. We’ve just got home after a lovely stay. If you want to get away for a while and come back rested, or need somewhere to stay in the area, this place is a great fit ❤️❤️❤️

For our wedding night, my parents booked us the Super King Four Poster Suite. The cottage and its grounds were stunning, and our room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The owners had thought of all sorts of useful details, even a bottle opener, and left a card and chocolates to congratulate us. Such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was delicious and there was loads of it. We had a separate room from the other guests, so we could chat peacefully about the previous night’s antics. We just wish we’d stayed longer. We’ll definitely come back, highly recommended!
