Galloway Steading Luxury Glamping Pods

The lodge was spacious, well equipped, clean and private, with an enclosed garden that made it dog friendly. We had electric, WiFi, a TV and a DVD player too. After a really rubbish weekend, this last-minute break was just what I needed to unwind. The hot tub was amazing, and we still went for a dip even with the cold, wet and windy weather. There’s a walkway down to the beach, but we didn’t try it in those conditions. The view from the tub was beautiful. I also loved the little honesty shop, especially the s’mores, DVDs to borrow and lovely free-range eggs. Amazing, thank you! 🤩

We had a great weekend walking, eating and drinking, then relaxing with plenty of Netflix. The hut had most of what we needed, and shops were only a short drive away. We also borrowed Final Destination DVDs from the honesty hut. It was bitterly cold and windy, but that made the hot tub even better. The Stag Hoose was in such a quiet, peaceful spot that we felt at ease. Our dog loved running around the enclosed garden, and we didn’t have to worry about her wandering off or being shut inside while we were in the tub. She enjoyed the walk to the beach too. We stayed 23-25 of Jan and would highly recommend it.

We stayed in The Hedgehog Hideaway and will definitely come back. It was spotless, pristine and really comfortable. The hot tub was superb, spotlessly clean, private and lovely with the lights on at night. The owners and staff were attentive and helpful, and the fire pit was great. There’s a nice little fenced garden, especially handy with young kids or a dog, and we loved the wee honesty shop. Even the resident cat came to visit our pod. A fantastic wee gem, one of our best staycations, and I couldn’t recommend it enough x

We loved the walks around the area, especially by the river, where the kids and big kids could skim stones. Our dog jumped in for a swim and wouldn’t come out. The Steading at Galloway Steading is a large family home with absolutely everything you need for a great holiday. The hosts have thought of everything, with excellent facilities: a massive hot tub, wood-fired clay pizza oven, BBQ grill, enclosed garden, private sauna and your own bar area for cocktails. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Three days just wasn’t enough, and our only problem was not wanting to leave. Next time we’ll stay longer. The hosts have done an awesome job.
