Gilvenbank Hotel

I can't understand why this place only has a three-star rating. From check-in to departure, everything was perfect. The staff were courteous, always ready to help and did it all with a smile. The food was excellent, and we really recommend trying out the bottle while you're here. Our room was large, comfortable and well equipped, with the bonus of a Juliet balcony. We'd definitely recommend staying.

The food was delicious on both nights, and the meals were very reasonably priced. Breakfasts were filling and had a good variety, so we didn't need lunch. The restaurant was always busy, and the staff did a great job. The woman serving us on both mornings was lots of fun and had us laughing. We also visited Gilvenbank Park just along from the hotel, and it's lovely, well worth a visit. We had a spotless, spacious and tidy room 4 at the Gilvenbank Hotel. The bed was comfortable, and we liked the sitting area. The view took in trees, grass and the car park, which was quite busy. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to all the hardworking staff. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was pleasant, with a great menu selection, and breakfast was great too. Staff were brilliant throughout, and the service was first class. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. Our room was clean and tidy, and the central location worked well. Highly recommend it. I'd definitely return.
