We parked our campervan at the pub for a day and an overnight stop, and the setting right by the river was amazing and so tranquil. There’s plenty of seating indoors and out, plus a wide choice of beers and ciders. We ate at the pub too, and the food was absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely return for a longer stay.

The pub was really cosy, and we’re looking forward to coming back in summer to enjoy the outdoor space. We had a wonderful Mother’s Day and birthday meal here, celebrating my Grandad’s 93rd birthday along with Mother’s Day for my Mum and my 92-year-old Nanna. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The carvery was delicious, freshly cooked, and the meat was super tender. Everything was well organised, and they even made a nut roast for my mum at the last minute. She said it was the best she’d ever had. 🌸💕☀️

On a cold, wet January day, we found a roaring fire in the corner, friendly locals and lots of lovely dogs. The landlady was welcoming and gave us tips for walking into Tewkesbury, along with reliable taxi companies for the return. There’s a nice selection of beer and cider too. Looking forward to visiting again.

At the "We Want Lesstival" I had a lovely beer and a fantastic steak and ale pie. It’s a very picturesque spot by the river, though right in the middle of nowhere...

The camping’s been a pleasure every time I’ve visited, with lots of space to choose from. It’s right by the river, lovely for a daytime cuppa, then a good pint or two, maybe a skin full, at night with live entertainment. I’ve seen a few different bands and top DJs, and Santa really does come here. I can see why! Tewkesbury is a nice walk away, and a reasonable stumbling distance back, though a designated driver is best. Highly recommended, and I’ll be back again and again. Thanks to all the staff. PS, I’d add photos if I knew how! It’s a fantastic, kind of hidden retreat with excellent food and service. The staff are always so helpful and polite, even when they’re extremely busy catering for our bike group. I’ve stayed in one of the rooms once, though I’m an avid camper. I arrived absolutely soaked to the bone, looking like a happy weasel and feeling like a cheeky ferret, bottom lip out and quivering. I sheepishly asked for a room for one night so I could dry my 🏍 gear and get some blood circulation going again, knowing it would mean more work cleaning and refreshing the bedding for my mucka Jaffa the next day. The room was clean and fkn bang on, with two single beds, an ensuite lavvy and shower, lovely and toasty warm, soap, towels, shower gel, good quality ass wipe 🤭😜😎, brewing tackle, a TV, my own front door and private outdoor seating. I didn’t want to give it up, but Jaffa is bigger than me and persuaded me to leave the next day 😬😫.
