The coffee was lovely, but breakfast was a letdown. I had poached eggs on brown toast with hash browns, plus a latte and water. The eggs were too runny for me, and the toast got soggy underneath them. For £7, I expected the eggs to be cooked properly. Nobody checked in to see how things were, which was disappointing, and I found the meal below par and expensive. One other thing: the copper radiator in the baby changing toilet was extremely hot to touch. A warning or a cover would help. I visited on 21/1/26 and don't think I'll be back. Sorry.

The Sunday dinner was amazing, especially the tender, tasty lamb and beef, served nice and hot. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and they check in during the meal to see if you want more drinks. I love coming here after a good walk to the waterfalls. It finishes off the day beautifully. I haven't stayed overnight, though the rooms look great.

There was plenty of food, and the ingredients were good, but my Sunday lunch came on a cold plate. The starter was £5 for four prawns. The place is quite small, and chairs scrape noisily when people drag them across the floor. Rubber on the feet might help. Staff were friendly, though loud. It's dog friendly, which isn't really for me. I don't understand taking a dog along to Sunday lunch.

Parking can be difficult because of the lovely walks nearby, but the Sunday lunch was stunning, tasty, and came in really generous portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We hadn't planned to stop for lunch, but we're so glad we did. The food tasted homemade, was delicious, and came in incredibly generous portions. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the sort who make you want to stay a little longer. A rainy day and a country walk would be much more appealing if there were more places like this. Highly recommend 😊
