Clara and her husband made us feel really welcome and were so helpful. We loved the room, especially the lovely views, and the continental breakfast left in the room was a sweet touch. It’s a little hidden gem in the heart of the South Downs, with easy access to other areas. We had a great stay and will definitely return.

The light, the views and the peaceful feel made Brook Barn such a lovely escape. Clara was easygoing and happy to help with whatever we needed, and she even arranged a vegan breakfast for me. She was great fun to chat with, too. We loved our stay and are already making plans to come back for longer.

That breakfast was incredible, honestly, I’d come back just for it! We were cycling the South Downs Way and couldn’t have asked for more caring hosts or better accommodation. After we got soaked on the way to the pub, Clara kindly let us use her dryer. The room felt spacious and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. Thanks so much for having us! :)

We were there for a family birthday and a wedding at nearby Upwaltham Wedding Barn, and the two rooms worked really well for us. Sharing one bathroom was fine. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of fresh fruit, cereal and pastries. We had a great two-day stay. Many thanks to our hosts, Claire and Simon.

The breakfast had loads of choices and was beautifully presented, and I got one of the best nights’ sleep of my week. My dog and I were warmly welcomed while walking the South Downs Way, and the facilities were fantastic. A peaceful, quiet B&B that I’d absolutely recommend, though it does cost a little more than some places that have less to offer.
