The handmade breakfast was incredible, with eggs from the garden and a smoothie. On arrival there were nice drinks, and the place was quiet with a perfect view. The room and bathroom were amazing, and everything from the bedding and towels to the bathrobe was top quality Egyptian cotton. The decor is modern with a Scottish feel, using Harris and other local sources. This unexpected stay was our best night in Scotland. An easy five-star place.

There are just two rooms, so it feels very private. In the evenings we could relax in the dayroom with complimentary wine, whisky or cognac, or wander the beautifully kept garden. Little touches in the room, like cherries and the Highland cow doorstop, made it feel like home. Then there's Isobel's breakfast feast, which is wonderfully generous. You can also rent a Range Rover, or, if you're feeling whimsical, take a classic Bentley with a guide or driver. Staying at Isobel's feels less like a night at a B&B and more like being thoroughly pampered.

Isobel was an amazing host, and every detail felt carefully chosen, pristine, and tasteful. The peaceful setting made for lovely mornings with gourmet breakfasts, followed by exploring Spayside. Fantastic, the best place to stay in the Spayside!
