We enjoyed a nightcap in the cafe bar, where the bartender was as helpful as the front desk staff. Our last minute booking was handled generously and with good communication, and the kitchen staff even waited for us to arrive so we could have dinner before they closed. For the price, the quality was very reasonable. It's a charming Victorian era hotel in the heart of Grantown-on-Spey, with clean, comfortable rooms that are a good size and nicely styled. The town is small, and especially quiet on a winter Sunday, so you'll need to drive to Aviemore for more amenities. Still, we were very pleased with our overnight stop on a Highlands drive.

We held our son's rehearsal dinner at this hotel. The meal was delicious, and the service was excellent, with everyone being very attentive. The bar also had a nice selection of scotch. We didn't stay in the rooms, so I can't comment on them.

We had a memorable Hogmanay stay here as a family of four. The gala dinner on the 31st was great fun, with bagpipes and a band in the bar, and the food and service throughout were outstanding. The hotel sits right on the square, which looked lovely in the snowfall. I'd highly recommend it for the friendly staff, good location and food, as well as for anyone wanting a base to explore more of Scotland.

We stayed for two nights, and the Grant Arms Hotel is a very handy base for visiting the Scottish Highlands. The rooms were comfortable, service was amazing, and the meals were prepared and presented wonderfully. The staff and service really stood out. We'll certainly return on our next visit.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Eating in the bar meant our wee dog Mary could stay with us, and the food was delicious. The menu had lots of variety, and the cauliflower and coconut soup was scrumptious! Everyone was so helpful, friendly and informative, adding to the warm, relaxed feel of this wonderful old building. Thank you all so much.
