We stayed in one of the barns for a weekend with our fur baby, and it was perfect. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and friendly, and the staff, including Kat and Serena, were amazing and welcoming. We'll definitely be back soon. Thank you!

The Lancrigg will always have a special place in our hearts. We feel so lucky that we had this magical corner of the Lake District to ourselves for our wedding weekend in July 2025. We can't wait to return over the years and see it continue to flourish. Planning with the team was a joy. Every person we dealt with was kind and enthusiastic, welcomed our ideas, and added thoughtful suggestions to help everything come together. We're also deeply grateful for how supportive and flexible they were when health reasons meant we had to rearrange the wedding. Their kindness meant the world to us, and we'll never forget it. The venue is breathtaking and clearly a labour of love. Even on our first visit, on a drizzly day in February, we knew it was right for us. The accommodation is excellent, and guests get the added treat of a beautiful walk down into Grasmere. It's a truly special place and the perfect wedding venue.

The team made our wedding feel special, and our guests were still celebrating late into the night. Everyone on site was cheerful, attentive and full of energy. Simon and Alison were also flexible throughout and went beyond what we expected. We’d spent ages looking for somewhere that could meet our long list of needs. The Lancrigg turned out to be the right fit: a beautiful country house in the Lake District that felt like home as soon as Simon welcomed us through the door.

The pop up restaurant food was absolutely beautiful, easily five star. I even asked the chef how she made the carrots because I’d never tasted anything like them. If she cooks for the weddings, the guests are in for a treat! We stayed for two nights with our dog, and the staff were wonderful. They couldn’t do enough for us.
