I can't say anything nice about this hotel apart from that you get what you pay for. The least you'd expect is somewhere clean and humane to stay. The man who checked us in was lovely, but the night went downhill quickly. The room was awful and filthy, and everything looked as if someone had slept in it and left it for the next guest. The windows opened all the way, which feels like a real health and safety issue. We were woken early by a huge argument that ended with the police being called. We went to put some things in our car and were then locked out. The night manager refused to let us back in, accusing us of losing two keys when we'd only been given one, and then accusing us of being involved in another situation while we had been asleep. I just wanted to get my belongings so we could leave. He shouted and swore at me and my mum, then slammed the door in our faces. We had to call the police to get back into our room. I felt unsafe, and if you're a woman on your own, please don't book here. He was an angry, bitter man with no customer care or regard for other people's safety. The place is falling apart, and I can't understand how it's still open. I'll report them to environmental health, and others should too. Staying here is a health and safety hazard, especially with a man like that who doesn't respect women.

The shower got hot quickly and had strong pressure, and the room cost less than £40 even though I booked at short notice. That price is about the only good thing I can say. The room was tiny and filthy: the floor hadn't been vacuumed, the toilet was disgusting, the wardrobe was mouldy and full of spiders, and the sheet and one of the two towels had awful stains. The bathroom door was hanging off its hinges and wouldn't shut. The shower head holder was broken, so I had to hold it myself. Wi-Fi didn't work, and there was no 4/5G signal either. A small TV was there but wasn't plugged in. It was noisy at night, and light came through a big gap under the door. Based on the photos and videos, this room was awful. I can't speak for the others, but you have to decide what you're willing to put up with for a very low price. If pretending you're in an asylum sounds like fun, this “hotel” is a bargain.

There was damp spreading across the room, it was freezing, and the shower didn't work. The bed had other people's hair on it, while the toilet was covered in someone else's urine and the floor hadn't been cleaned. I could hear staff shouting at each other and slamming doors until 1:30am. Worst hotel I've ever come across.

I ended up leaving at 1am because staff were shouting, banging around and playing music. There was mould and rubbish in the room, and when I arrived they were renovating without giving me any notice, so power tools were going for the first couple of hours of my stay. I hadn't read the reviews and had just picked the cheapest bed in the area. Please don't make the same mistake and try to stay here.

The reception man said he'd sort out the sewage smell from the bathroom, then came back with kitchen paper and used some to cover the shower drain. He explained the problem briefly and said that was it. We left, and were assured we'd get a refund, but a month later there was still nothing. The room and service were disgusting, and it felt like a con. When I first arrived, I was greeted well and apologized to about the dirty entrance floor because they were busy. There was also a pile of dirty towels at the end of the corridor. The sleeping area looked alright at first, with a bit of a caravan feel, but once I opened the bathroom door I couldn't stay in the room.
