Arona Guest

The location made getting around easy: the beach is just across the road, and town is a short, flat walk away. There’s a large car park, and the hotel is opposite Great Yarmouth football ground if you fancy watching a match on a Sunday afternoon. We slept comfortably, enjoyed a very good breakfast, and found the hosts friendly and helpful. The whole place was clean, and the lift saves you carrying your bags upstairs. The double-glazed windows were welcome, unlike some other places nearby.

We’ve stayed at the Arona Guest House twice now, and brought my mother-in-law along this time. Mandy and Martin always make us feel welcome and take time to chat. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have what you need, and the shower is really good. Breakfast is brilliant. We’ll be back next year.

We spent five lovely days here as a family. The hotel was clean and modern, with a TV lounge, games room and bar, and it’s close to the beach in a quiet part of town. The centre is about a 10 minute walk away. Our hosts were friendly and breakfast was lovely. The only bother was the lack of a bedside light and a mattress so soft we kept to the middle to avoid rolling off. It didn’t spoil the trip, and we’d recommend it to other families.

The staff were so welcoming to our children, and we could let them play at the games tables in the bar without feeling out of place. They were also ready to cater for our son’s dairy allergy, which hardly ever happens, and breakfast had flexible choices for everyone. Free parking on site helped a lot, and the beach is close by. Our room had plenty of space for the four of us and a good number of mirrors. The bathroom was small but spotless and worked well. The hotel felt spacious and peaceful, even with other guests at breakfast. Everywhere was clean, and the carpets and paint looked new in many places.
