We stayed last year and were very disappointed. The guesthouse needs a serious upgrade: the stairs felt unsafe, our room was grubby, and the bunk bed was falling apart. My grandson even found someone else’s clothes pushed down beside it. The owners were friendly, but they watched and talked to us through breakfast, which I found really off-putting. We paid £5 to hire a mini fridge for four nights, then came back from a day in Yarmouth to find the owner had switched it off. I don’t know why. The last straw was being moaned at for leaving the toilet light on, even though my five-year-old grandson couldn’t reach the switch. Never again.

The location is lovely, close to the seafront and not far from the market. The people working there are friendly, and my sister Sharon and her partner, friend Bob, are there too. The bedrooms and breakfasts are lovely. I’d recommend it to family or friends to try.

A handy location, just two minutes from the seafront and four minutes from town. It’s good for a cheap, cheerful break. The owner was helpful and friendly, though the room needed a proper clean and having the shower in the bedroom felt a bit bizarre.

Friendly atmosphere, and close to the sea and funfair. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Great Yarmouth. Best B&B ever xx
