Post Office Penthouse

The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, and the location was great, just a couple of minutes from the town centre. Getting to the top floor was tiring because there isn't a lift. There's also no outside space, so a cheeky smoke meant a long trip down to the bottom floor. The TV felt far too small for such a large room, and a bigger one would be better.

We stayed for a week. Communication before arrival was good, though the access code was out of date and we had to phone. They fixed it quickly. The apartment itself was reasonably clean and very well equipped, but the black gloss kitchen units showed every mark and streak, and the windows needed a proper clean. It would have been nice to have TVs in the bedrooms. The access was a letdown. The flat is in a rundown area, and although the car park was secure, it was dirty and covered in litter. The blue door at the back had rubbish piled up beside it, and some of the wood was rotting. The lift was dirty and smelled, while the stairs were badly neglected. We were two couples going separate ways, and sharing one fob for both the car park and door was a pain. Surely they could provide two. The apartment was just acceptable, but the scruffy, dirty access brought the stay down.

The penthouse was fabulous, beautifully decorated and had everything needed for either a short or long stay. Its location at the top end of town by the river was ideal, and the secure parking space below was very helpful. We'll book it whenever we visit Great Yarmouth from now on. 100% recommend!

The location worked really well for us, with shops nearby and Great Yarmouth beach about a 10-minute walk away. We also had secure parking, though we needed a bit of help finding it at first. Stef was just a phone call away and talked us through it. The apartment was spacious and felt like a home from home, and my kids loved it.
