We’d always walked past this pub on the way to town without going in. Last Friday my husband, a few friends and I finally stopped for a drink, and I loved it. The staff were amazing, smiling and dancing, and you could tell they enjoy their work. It was a pleasure talking to the owner too. Lovely people, and we can’t wait to visit again. Thanks for making it such a great time.

The County put on Phantom Lords, a thrash and heavy metal covers band, for a Saturday night, which deserves credit. There aren’t many places in town that would give a band like that the slot. It was a brilliant night, with a great atmosphere and an amazing crowd. Great pub and awesome live music.

Our band Statis Quo, tribute to Status Quo 1968-1979, played here. It’s a fantastic live music venue, with a good crowd, great drinks, and an amazing bar manager and staff.

Our sea fishing trip in Grimsby was cancelled, so we went looking for a pub instead. What a little gem. The beer and prices were great, and the bar staff were brilliant, especially the landlord. There was top live music all weekend too. I’d come back to Grimsby just for this pub.

I used to come here often when I was younger, back when it was a lively, friendly pub. I came in for a league pool match this time. The beer was above average, but the atmosphere felt poor and rather unfriendly.
