The Castle Inn

The Castle Inn has a cosy, rustic feel, with a fireplace and a sunny outdoor seating area. It sits in a picturesque village and serves a good range of ales and wines alongside tasty dishes made with local ingredients. The staff were warm and attentive, and the whole place felt welcoming. A lovely choice for a hearty meal or a relaxed drink, with the feel of a classic Welsh pub.

We went as a big group and the staff made everything easy. The portions were enormous and every dish was cooked just right. Our waitress was lovely and helpful, and the children were delighted with her cute homemade cookies. It was the best roast dinner I’ve had in years. Such a great find, and we’ll definitely be back.

We’ve now brought our toddler here twice for a family Sunday roast, and both visits were wonderful. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is consistently high quality, delicious and nicely presented, and they have smaller servings for children. The waiter and bar team are so friendly and happy to help. It’s a popular place, so booking ahead is a good idea. There’s plenty of parking too, which makes a family outing easier.

The food was the real highlight of my business trip stay. I especially loved the steak and caramelised onion pie, the vegetables were lovely, the serving was generous, and it was beyond what I expected. The starter was great too. My room was spacious and had everything needed for an overnight visit. Really good food and hospitality, I’ll certainly return.
