It’s a great choice if you like peace and quiet, as I do. The owner handles everything herself, so things are pre-prepared, but she does it with real generosity and consideration. I was given a welcome note with useful information and tips on local places to eat. The car park is a tight squeeze for larger vehicles, though there are other parking options nearby. A lovely place.

The room had thoughtful little extras, and the whole place felt cosy and homey, with everything spotlessly clean. I had a lovely stay and could check in early, or check out late if needed, at no extra cost.

We arrived to check ourselves in, but there was no key left for us. Calls went straight to voicemail even after we tried several times, so we had to find somewhere else to stay in a hurry.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room had lots of little extras that made the stay nicer. The homemade slice of cake was a real treat. I couldn’t fit in a hot breakfast, but the takeaway box had a good mix of things and was very handy for anyone leaving early for work. The pub across the road was lovely too. Well worth staying.
