On my second visit in a month, the food was excellent again. This time I had the sirloin steak, which was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and faultless. Everything else on the plate was excellent as well, and the cheesy garlic ciabatta was delicious. My one gripe is the walkway between outside and inside the pub, where people keep passing the restaurant tables. Otherwise, all good. I’ll be back soon.

The place was freezing at night because there was no heating, and sleeping was almost impossible with the live concerts in the pub right below. They didn’t provide any hygiene products, not even soap or shampoo, and we had just one towel for everything. Support doesn’t answer or help when there’s a problem. If you stay here, bring earplugs, your own towels and toiletries, and a sleeping bag, or you’ll regret it. Definitely not worth the price.

A nice little restaurant for a family meal. The menu is limited, with only two vegetarian choices. I had the vegetable curry and my mother had the chicken curry; both were nice, with a little spicy kick. For dessert, Mum had trifle and I had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. That was nice too, though I’ve had better elsewhere. The staff were welcoming and friendly as soon as we came in, showed us to our table, and made us feel comfortable.

We stopped in for drinks with friends and family while visiting, and the whole team made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly. We only got chunky chips and chicken tenders for the kids to pick at, but both were tasty and well cooked.

The children's portions were generous too, and everything tasted lovely. I was slightly worried about ordering Sunday lunch just before serving ended at 4pm, in case it wasn't fresh or hot, but it came out both. Highly recommended.
