The hosts were brilliant, and the cooked breakfast was delicious, made with fresh local produce. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was nicely appointed. This lovely B&B sits between Nelson and Gelligaer, with wonderful views over the farmland. I'd happily recommend it.

I was in the area for a local Competition and spent a superb weekend at this lovely Guest House. The rooms were lovely, the breakfasts were amazing, and we got a friendly welcome from the start. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone after a relaxing stay in this part of South Wales.

The room stayed lovely and cool even though we arrived on the hottest day of the year. It was spotless and comfortable, with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. They cleaned the room daily, and the people running this friendly B&B were lovely. I chose not to have breakfast. Free Wi-Fi, too. Just a lovely place to stay.

I was here for four nights on a work trip, and the couple running the place were genuinely nice. They answered all my questions and were easy to talk to without prying or seeming fake. The rooms were clean, warm and tastefully done, and breakfast was nice, with two rashers of bacon each time. I would've preferred real coffee to instant, but that's just my preference. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Caroline and Andrew made this one of the most comfortable self-catering places I've stayed in for years. Wern Ganol is well placed for trips to the countryside, cities and coast, and I'd recommend it to travellers or holidaymakers wanting something a little extra.
