Philip served the typical English breakfast in the morning with a sunny smile and a generous handshake. The night itself was fantastic, with a super comfortable bed and no noise. My room had the vintage English look I really appreciate, including a four-poster bed, armchairs and a wooden desk. I was there for a business trip, and from the moment I arrived, owner Adele welcomed me, showed me to my room and explained what I needed for my stay. There are only a few rooms, but the attention to guests is truly excellent. An Italian might imagine England just this way when stepping into the place. You can feel the heart and the care the owners put into their B&B and work. I'd consider staying again with my wife in the future.

The owner was so welcoming and friendly, and I was even upgraded to a room with a lovely view. It was spotless, cosy and smelled really nice. Everything I needed was there, including a mini fridge stocked with the essentials. Amazing stay for a night, no flaws I could find, and I'll definitely come back on my next visit to Halifax.

The breakfast was lovely. I played it safe with the cooked breakfast both mornings, but only because I liked it so much the first day. From seeing the other options being served, it seems hard to go wrong with anything. We needed somewhere nice for a local family event and booked a couple of nights, turning it into a mini break. We were really happy with our choice. The building has a lot of history, and it's been updated respectfully, so you get modern comforts alongside plenty of old-world charm.

We had a fabulous night in this beautiful historic home, with superb views and one of the best full English breakfasts we've had. The hosts were unbelievably warm and friendly. They even upgraded our room as a birthday gift for my husband. Huge compliments to Philip and Adele, we'd love to stay in your lovely home again.

Room 1 was beautiful, elegant and sumptuous, with all the amenities you could want and glorious views across the valley to Shibden Hall. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, and Adele and Phil were wonderfully friendly and welcoming hosts. My sister treated me to this overnight B&B stay for my birthday this week, and it was a fabulous experience. We'd highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.
