Hadrian's Wall is right there in full view, and the pub is about 1.5 miles away. It’s an easygoing, dog friendly place in a lovely building. Our room was nice, with a good shower and toilet, and the owner was so helpful and welcoming. We could use the dining room and fridge outside breakfast hours, too. Breakfast was spot on, and the teapot was properly generous, unlike the cup-sized pots some places serve. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed the area, especially having somewhere pleasant to unwind and take in all the history. Our host was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. Everything about our stay at Saughy Rigg was great.

That home-cooked breakfast and evening meal were among the best meals we’ve ever had. We were there for my mum’s 80th birthday, and Sian, Sean, and Sian’s mum did so much to make it feel special. They were caring and welcoming from the minute we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. We’ve just got home from a wonderful stay and can’t recommend the place enough. Already hoping to come back!

We needed somewhere for one night on the way back from Scotland and found this lovely spot close to Hadrian's Wall. The host was attentive and lovely, and breakfast was exceptionally good. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

The farmhouse has been done up really nicely and sits in a lovely location, with several rooms. After walking 13 miles from Chollerford along Hadrians Wall, we got a message asking if we wanted a lift from the local pub. That was a fantastic extra. The room was warm and spacious, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The hosts were brilliant, from the lovely breakfast and chats about life in the morning to lifts to and from the property for our tired legs. One of the best parts of my trip.
