Derek's knowledge of North Wales was a real help, and he suggested places to visit that I might otherwise have missed. I enjoyed chatting with him and Bridget over breakfast, which was great. They were among the friendliest hosts I've met. The B&B is clean, well looked after, and tastefully decorated, with great views from its nice spot in Harlech. I’ll stay here again on my next trip to Snowdonia.

I’ve stayed in hundreds of guest houses over the years, and this is honestly the best one I’ve found. Bridget and Derek were a pleasure to deal with and so accommodating during our golf trip with three friends. Everything was spotless, from the rooms and bathrooms to the shared spaces, and all were beautifully furnished. The breakfasts were extraordinary. Maelgwyn House would suit a golf break, a family trip, or a business stay. I’ll be back.

For our first wedding anniversary, Simon and I picked this bed and breakfast, and we had a really enjoyable stay. The hosts made everyone feel at home with their warmth, knowledge of Wales and the area, lively personalities, and great sense of humour. Our room was welcoming and clean, with lovely attention to detail, and the bedroom views were stunning. The house was beautifully presented, with lots of pleasant paintings on the walls. Breakfast was excellent, especially the Welsh full breakfast, cooked perfectly. We’d strongly recommend it for a trip to this beautiful region.

Breakfast was spot on, and the views are something else. The place is full of lovely art and drawings, too. B&D were so kind and welcoming, and their knowledge and hospitality really impressed me. I’d recommend staying here even to my worst enemy! A wonderful time, thank you. X
