Greenman

The freezing weather outside was more than made up for by the warm rooms, restaurant and lovely staff during our two-night stay. We ate really well at the bar and restaurant, and the breakfast menu had loads of options. Everyone was so welcoming and went out of their way to handle our requests. Thanks, Green Man. I’d happily recommend this hotel.

We’d heard from a few people that we should try this place, and now I get why. A couple of friends and I had a great lunch: we started with drinks at the bar, then moved into the restaurant, where the food, atmosphere and service were all just as good. We’ll be back soon, and would like to try the hotel too. I bet it’s just as wonderful, or even better. :)

We were a group of six adults and a child, staying for one night, and the beds were very comfortable and clean. The rooms were fine, if a little dated. We also got to sit out in the beer garden, which was a nice bonus. The food was good value and there was a varied menu. Staff were faultless: Laura at reception efficiently sorted our three small requests, and James in the bar was friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.

The Green Man Pub had a relaxed, traditional feel, and it was easy to settle in. Staff were attentive and friendly, the food was tasty and nicely prepared, and there was a good range of drinks. A really pleasant place for a casual visit.
