Starbeck Micro Hotel

I hated this place. It didn’t feel like a serviced place or a hotel, and even knowing it was called a 'micro' hotel, the rooms were smaller than I expected. The bed hadn’t been made before I checked in, the bedding was dirty, and I found a used towel on the floor. The doors leading up to the rooms were so narrow that anyone with luggage would struggle. There was supposed to be a small hot/cold appliance, but it didn’t work either.

Just what we needed for our stay. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. Check-in was straightforward and hassle-free. I was also impressed by how well the soundproof windows kept out the street noise.

I was booked into this hotel while working in the area, but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The room was tiny, the TV didn’t work, and there was no tea or coffee setup. There was nobody around to welcome me or check me in, and I never felt safe or comfortable. Easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

Our room, number 3, was at the back and really quiet. It was very small, but the bed was comfortable. Clean, good value, and it even had extras like a kitchenette.
