The hotel sits on the edge of the village, and the walk to the beach was lovely, along a long downhill road or path. We're definitely coming back for the spring holiday. We stayed at chimney's for two nights, two adults and two children. It was a very nice, comfortable stay, and Kelly handled everything and met all our requests. She arranged one room for all four of us, with a double bed, a single bed, and enough extra walking space. We had a private bathroom and a balcony with a sea view, which we hadn't expected. Waking up to that view was so lovely. It was very cold, but my daughter and I still enjoyed the balcony. Breakfast was very good, with a full English, veggie sausage, and hash browns. Thanks for everything, it was a very pleasant stay.

The full English breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. We also had a drink at the bar, where the staff were helpful and polite. There was live music, but we didn't stay up for it and it didn't keep us awake. We slept soundly. We were only at the Chimneys for one night, but the coastal location was beautiful. Ann and Andrew, the owners, were so welcoming and put us at ease straight away. It felt like we'd known them for ages. Ann helped me with our bags and even lent me her phone charger. The room was spacious and spotless, with a large flat-screen TV. I'd highly recommend this friendly B&B for a really reasonable price and would definitely stay again. Their two family dogs, Alan and Betty, were very friendly too.

The girls serving were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food at chimneys was second to none, with melt-in-your-mouth beef and properly cooked veggies, unlike some of the chains. Just lovely.

I'm glad this hotel is in my local area, blackhall. I've stayed once or twice and have been really impressed by the service. Gorgeous Horden and black hall beach are within walking distance.
