The breakfast was outstanding, and the view was nearly as impressive. Vince and his partner were wonderful hosts, and the books on the dining room wall are well worth a look. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotless and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, clean towels and plenty of hot water. This is one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in. If there's a room available, book it, you won't regret it.

Vincent was so friendly and attentive, with plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We had a tasty breakfast he'd cooked each morning, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, giving us our best night's sleep. We stayed for a weekend and will definitely return.

Vincent made us feel at home with his warmth and knowledge of the area, from places to eat and visit to where to park. He really is a lovely man, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, served at a grand table where it was nice to chat with the other guests. My husband and I spent two nights at Black Rock House and had a five-star boutique experience. We'll come back to Hastings and stay again. Thanks, Vincent xx

We felt welcome straight away and could relax and enjoy ourselves. The rooms were comfortable, and the property was spotlessly clean. Vincent was a caring, thoughtful host who made a phenomenal breakfast. And be sure to meet Clovis 🐶. Black Rock House is outstanding.

I've stayed in Hastings before, but never somewhere as lovely as this. Vincent was awesome, and the breakfast was just as good. You feel more like a friend visiting than a guest.
