We had plenty of space to hang out together in the communal areas, which worked really well for our group of friends. The hotel was quiet, spotless, and felt homely despite its modern bedrooms. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very, very good. We'd happily come back and recommend it.

We loved being able to walk into Hay, especially as we're keen walkers. The house is full of history and beautifully presented, and our room felt cosy and welcoming. The hosts are an incredible couple who made sure everything was just right and know a huge amount about the area. Breakfast was perfect, with everything sourced locally. We loved our stay and highly recommend it.

The breakfast was the highlight: fresh berries, cereals, yoghurt, breads and welsh cakes, plus a delicious cooked meal made with local ingredients. Stephen and Rebecca were lovely, asking about our day and plans and suggesting little places to visit. The house itself was spectacular, with classical décor that gave it an elegant feel. Set back from the main road, the location was peaceful and we didn't hear a thing.

Stephen and Rebecca were excellent hosts. They even rang ahead to book us a table at a nearby place they recommended for dinner. We enjoyed chatting about our plans for seeing more of Wales, and the books in the rooms were a nice touch for guests to use. The building had a lovely historic feel, and breakfast was superb, with a wide choice including eggs cooked as you like, meats, yoghurts, fruit, breads and juices.

Staying at Baskerville House felt like visiting family. Stephen and his wife were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. The venue and location were a lovely match, and breakfast was another highlight, with incredible fresh, local ingredients.
