Gun Hill Cottage

The garden was a highlight for us, especially in the sunshine. Mornings with birdsong and all the nature around were so peaceful, and we even looked for newts in the pond. One afternoon we played volleyball on the grass with friends and stayed out in the sun for hours. I've stayed at this lovely cottage twice now, and it feels like a great escape in either summer or winter. There's plenty to do, whether you want to take it easy indoors or head out to enjoy the surroundings. The dining room was a nice place for us to spend time together, and the cosy living room had lots of board games for kids and adults, as well as space to chat. Gun Hill has a timeless feel that made it easy to forget about the outside world for a few days. The house had everything we needed. There's also a good pub nearby and plenty of scenic walks. I really enjoyed both stays and will definitely return.
