The mix-up with our table booking was quickly sorted out by the owners, who went out of their way to find us a fantastic table after welcoming us warmly. Dinner was a great experience, with top class service. We both had beef cheeks, cooked perfectly, and the apple pie and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. The chef's food advice was much appreciated, and it was lovely to meet him. We also enjoyed hearing that the apple pie recipe came from a dearly beloved Mum. A really pleasant evening in a friendly pub. Thank you all.

From the front door, you'd never guess there was such a lovely restaurant tucked inside. Our hotel, just a few minutes' walk away, recommended it. The little seating area at the back has about five tables and felt relaxed and cosy. The food was unbelievable, especially the beef cheek, which I'd recommend to anyone visiting Rhu.

The bar is dog friendly, and there's a big selection of wine, beer and spirits. We came in for dinner and had a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and all the staff were friendly, helpful and knew the menu well. The food was excellent. We were already planning our next visit before we left, and I'd heartily recommend eating here.

We loved the Apple Pie, and it was lovely to find out it's a family recipe. The food was gorgeous, fresh and homemade, and we enjoyed the new menu so much on Friday that we came back today. Mum had the Cullen Skink both times. Last week Dad and I had the beef burger; this week I chose Macaroni Cheese and Dad had the Beef Cheeks. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. The staff were excellent and so friendly, and you can see how much work they've put into making the place warm, rustic and welcoming. Thanks for having us, we'll be back soon! From the Gallaghers x

We were a big group, and everyone thought their food was brilliant. The service was just as good, friendly and attentive. Before heading to our table, we sat in the wee snug. The bar was busy with a roaring fire, and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend.
