A lively little pub with two real ales, both from Tring brewery. No food, but it’s a great place for a drink.

A great old-fashioned pub with a good bunch of customers who make you feel welcome. There’s a nice choice of beers, shorts and more, plus lots of parking. It’s in a great spot, with a playing field in front and shops nearby. Well worth a visit if you’re in hemel Hempstead. Can’t wait to come back.

Just stopped in for a pint or two before visiting Leverstock Green FC. They had a couple of nice real ales and friendly staff, and offered us some buffet left over from a wake.

We were a small group attending a wake and were given a cosy room at the end of the bar, where we could chat and reminisce comfortably. The buffet was prompt, plentiful and varied, and the staff were kind and attentive.

My wife and I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. The bar staff and regulars kept staring, and it was obvious you weren’t welcome unless you were a regular. Our pink gin and lemonade was fine, but I left three-quarters of my pint of fosters because there were bits floating in the glass. I can’t say how awful this place made us feel. Avoid it.
