We’d booked a double room for two people, but when we arrived reception told us someone had taken our room and we’d have two separate beds instead. They said next time we’d have to pay extra and choose a room number to keep the room we wanted. It felt like another way to take money from people. When we asked for a refund, they said they couldn’t give our money back. Since it was late, we went to the room and asked for a double blanket at least, but they brought another single one. The shower was rubbish, and the shower gel had run out and wasn’t working. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and we won’t come back.

Mary has been amazing every time she’s served us. She’s friendly, accommodating, and gives the kind of great hospitality you want from someone at the front desk. I’ve stayed at lots of Travelodge locations, and this has been the best by far. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Thank you for being so kind and helpful, Mary. I’ll definitely return here, and only here, for my little breaks.

I arrived late for my stay in room 606 on Friday 5th December 2025. The night staff were polite, helpful, and informative, and the morning staff were just as gracious. The room was clean and tidy, a little chilly at first, but it warmed up quickly once I turned up the heating. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the café was clean and tidy. Parking was free as long as you enter your reg. If you arrive late and stay one night, remember to enter it for two days. I’d recommend the stay.

The family room was a good size, and parking was free. There’s a Subway, toby, and a pizza place in the same building. But we don’t recommend staying here. Room 201 was small, and there were dirty, wet towels outside the window that could easily have been removed with a pole. Staff said it was too difficult. The bedding was disgusting: the mattress protector was upside down, presumably so guests wouldn’t see urine and possibly blood stains. Absolutely grim. In 105, the window didn’t shut tightly, so we heard traffic all night and barely slept. The walls and corners were dirty, the bin was dirty, and there was no attention to detail. The breakfast seats were dirty too.

The hotel was OK and did the job for an overnight stay, but take care with the parking. We entered our registration at reception for the two stay as instructed, left the car park briefly for a few minutes, then left for good just before checkout. A few days after getting home, we received a charge notice for the second period. Our appeal failed. These parking companies are a bunch of........
