Margaret was so welcoming. She even arranged an early breakfast for us and drove us to the start of the Macmillan mighty hike. My daughter and I stayed two nights while taking part, and our room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, and it was free. I love fruit and was overwhelmed by the choice, with great pastries, meat, cheese and cooked options as well. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it, and if I could, I’d give it 6 out of 5!

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good. This small B&B is in a 300 year old house, but still has all the amenities we expect these days. The rooms are fairly spacious and beautifully furnished.

We got in late on Wednesday and were lucky to get the last room. It’s right in the centre of Hexham, behind the old Gaol, and the location is perfect. The room was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Noise from other guests upstairs and the squeaky stairs were a bit much, but I’d definitely stay again.

The staff are fantastic, and it’s a lovely place with the town, bars and restaurants close by. I’ve stayed three times now, and the standard is always top notch.
