Travelodge Manchester Birch M62 Westbound

The family room was a good size and very clean, but I wouldn't choose to stay on a cold day again. A big vent at the top of the window couldn't be shut, and air also came in around the poorly sealed edges. The curtains were moving, and the room was so cold I spent the evening in a coat, hat, and gloves. Reception said they had no extra heater when I asked. I paid extra for WiFi too, but it was shocking and I barely used it.

My office had booked me on the wrong side of Birch services, but the staff made it easy to sort out. I registered my vehicle and walked over the footbridge to check into the Travelodge on the other side. Great reception staff, clean rooms, and easy service.

Shirley Baby was lovely and made the start of my day great. I was surprised by how good the conversation was, and he gave me a handshake and a hug, which I'd asked for. The bed was comfy too.

The location at the motorway services is handy, with plenty of amenities nearby. The rooms were dusty, though, and the bathrooms had no hand wash, so you had to use your own soap or the shower gel dispenser. They could do a better job cleaning.
