Hickling is a peaceful village, with no light pollution and two lovely pubs where we felt welcome. There’s plenty nearby for nature lovers, including Hickling NWT Reserve, the seals at Horsey Gap and the other broads within easy reach. We had a fantastic four day stay at this lovely B&B. The room was clean, and both the bath and shower were a pleasure to use. Breakfast was excellent too. We really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend it.

The rooms are thoughtfully stocked with what you’d need for a holiday in any season, and the hosts are really friendly. They also make lovely breakfasts. The only slight snag was that the TVs in the rooms were a bit dodgy.

We really enjoyed relaxing in the garden in the hot sunshine, and our boathouse room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was terrific, with a great choice, and the hosts and place were fabulous. It’s ideally located for visiting both inland and coastal towns in the heart of Norfolk. Highly recommended.

Lyn & Ian were so helpful throughout our stay, and the garden was a lovely place to relax. We came for a wedding at Waxham Barn and stayed three nights with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson, who joined us for two nights. The rooms were delightfully furnished, and breakfast was divine with lots of choice. Eleven out of ten for this lovely place!

Those two days and nights gave us a truly memorable base, and the food was excellent. Lawson Cottage was clean, fresh and warm, and Lyn & Ian were fantastic hosts. We also enjoyed meeting the many people during our short stay. Thanks, Lyn & Ian, for an amazing couple of days. Sam, Patti & Sidney. We’ll see you all again!
