The rooms feel almost luxurious, and the bed is really comfortable. It’s so quiet here, and breakfast is fantastic. We try to stay whenever we’re going to an event at Holmfirth picturedrome. A taxi costs £8 each way.

We were all here for a wedding, and everything was lovely. The rooms had beautiful views, the staff were fantastic, and breakfast was perfect from beginning to end. A big thank you from all of us x

We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights in May, in the first room on the left off the entrance hall. The bed and facilities were great. We only noticed after getting home that the window could use a curtain across the reveal, since the blind lets a lot of light in. Breakfast was excellent, especially the Eggs Benedict. There are views over the Holme valley, though the location is fairly remote and the narrow roads can be challenging. Our taxi driver got lost! We worked out that White Gate Road/Hill House Road/Brow Lane/Cemetery Lane/Rotcher Road is the best way into the heart of Holmfirth. We’d love to stay again when we visit Yorkshire Sculpture Park, which is closed on Mondays, doh!
