The Sunday roast was delicious, with a good choice of veg and no fat on the turkey and lamb we ordered. We’d booked after being tempted by the Yorkshire puddings, and they didn’t disappoint. I was glad we had a reservation because it was busy. Charlotte looked after us brilliantly, polite and friendly, and especially lovely with my brother, who has additional needs. The puddings were good too. Sport was on in the pool room beside our seating area, but it wasn’t distracting or too loud. The meal was really enjoyable, though as we were leaving a woman I hadn’t seen before, who hadn’t served us, called us back to check whether we’d paid. It was a little embarrassing, and a few customers by the bar seemed amused. Our waitress confirmed we had paid, and since everything else was on point, I haven’t lowered my rating.

We drove over from Sheffield for Sunday roast and found a lovely spot. The food was gorgeous, and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. Everyone was really friendly and the service was excellent. Our waitress was a star, thank you ⭐️🙏🏻❤️ We’ll be back!

There were about 20 of us for breakfast, but they handled the group so well that all the food came out together. When they realised they didn’t have oat milk for my cappuccino, someone even went out to buy some for me, which was so thoughtful. Nice food, friendly staff and a warm welcome at this lovely pub, definitely worth a visit 🙂

Getting Sunday brunch sorted for 20 people was a big ask, so thanks to the chef and everyone serving. We all had a lovely time. The food was really delicious, the service faultless, and I’ll definitely come again ❤️

We stopped for lunch at the E&C while visiting Holmfirth with family and showing them the sights of Last of Summer Wine. The owner behind the bar was nice and polite, and the decor was nice too. There was a good pint of beer on tap. I had the mince and onion pie of the day with gorgeous homemade chips, and the lasagne with garlic bread was fantastic. Everything was homemade from scratch.
