Goats, chickens and geese are your neighbours at the cottage, and they're all friendly. Ask nicely and you can meet them. The hosts are lovely and the cottage was spotless. It's a lovely hideaway a short drive from the nearest town, with plenty of family-friendly places to visit nearby. There are farms around, so you might catch the odd smell from the four-legged locals, but that's part of being out in the fresh country air. I'd highly recommend it as a holiday let.

Bude is about a 15-minute drive away, and booking through Sykes Cottages was very easy. We spent a week here for our first cottage holiday, and pretty much everything we could think of had already been provided. The stay was better than we expected. Maggie and Charlie were always available if needed, without ever intruding. I really can't recommend this place enough.

We loved our stay in this immaculate barn. It was wonderfully equipped too, and we'll definitely be back.

Maggi and Charlie, a big thank you. The place was clean, peaceful and relaxing, and had everything we needed.
