Sweet pea cottage was cosy, clean and lovely, and the hot tub was nice. The owner checks its chemicals every other day. The main bedroom is a good size with a comfortable bed; the little bedroom has two single beds, though its door doesn’t open all the way. You can get in and out fine. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Parking is opposite, about 80 yards away at spot 23, under a huge tree, so the car gets covered in sap and things. Budgens is the nearest shop, around a five-minute walk. There are plenty of pots and pans, but the knives could be better.

The hot tub was a lovely bonus after a long day walking, and the cottage is comfortable and very well placed for Holt town centre and the surrounding area. We enjoyed a nice evening meal at the dog-friendly Kings Head at Letheringsett, and even had perfect October weather. It’s not really suited to four adults: the single beds are uncomfortable, though adequate for two nights. The stairs are very steep and could be a problem if you’re tall, but they were fine for us.

Sweet pea Cottage is in a great location, and the hot tub was wonderful to unwind in after a day of walking. The accommodation is very small, really only suitable for two people. We weren’t sure the neighbours were as keen on the tub, especially the gentleman at No:2, who seemed to appear whenever we got in. A higher fence would give more privacy. It didn’t bother us, but passers-by did a lot of eye-rolling. The garden chairs were painful to sit on, so some more comfortable furniture would make it nicer to be outside. Fine for a few days away.

Holt is a lovely town with everything you need for a weekend away, and a great base for exploring Norfolk. The cottage has a hot tub, and the owners generously leave wine and chocolate.

The cottage was well looked after, and we found a couple of nice walks. There are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, and the hot tub was good. We had a wonderful two nights with the family. It’s a 3.5-hour drive each way for us, but I’ll definitely make the trip again. Thanks for the stay.
