Trumbles

We’ve stayed here twice now and would gladly do so again when flying from Gatwick. The owners are professional and accommodating, and it’s well placed for the airport. You can leave your car here during your holiday for a reasonable fee. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable on hot days, but it’s otherwise a great place to stay.

We slept so well, the mattress was just right, and breakfast was delicious. Julia and David were wonderful hosts, and we loved sitting in their beautiful garden and walking down to the village at the end of the street. It felt like a little country escape, even though Gatwick Airport is only 12 minutes away. We’d definitely recommend this bed and breakfast and will be back.

David gave us a number for a taxi company because our return to Gatwick was after 10pm, when they couldn’t collect us. The taxi was good and very reasonably priced compared with most, especially given what the airport charges for pickups. If you’re back before 10pm, they’ll collect you and take you to your car, which stays at the guest house during your holiday. They’ll also drive you to the airport, and we were told that service runs 24/7. The couple who own and run Trumbles are lovely. The place was clean, our bed was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The overnight stay and parking together were very reasonably priced.

We left our car at the premises while we’re away, and Dave drove us to Gatwick. David, one of the owners, greeted us warmly and was very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and we slept well. It’s a very quiet area. We’ll stay here again.
