Brenda and her husband made me feel at home. The room and ensuite had everything I needed, and the place was spotless with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent, especially the homemade jams. A lovely stay.

The area is nice and quiet, and the room was wonderful, with much more character than the bland beige rooms in most chain hotels. I had to call for the final directions, as Google wasn’t enough. Once you pass Stanley Way, it’s basically the third property on the left. I arrived starving, and they kindly made me a delicious cheese and pickle sandwich. The ensuite had a toilet and basin, and good towels were provided. The shower and bath are separate; both are easy to access, and the shower was very nice to use. Breakfast included a good choice of cereals and a hot meal made to order. I don’t eat meat, and that was fine. Communication was excellent.

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and well looked after. Our host was friendly and polite. I’d definitely recommend the place and stay again.

Nothing was amiss during my stay. Brenda was a perfect host and made a delicious breakfast. I don’t tend to go looking for faults when I travel, and if something does come up I try to be diplomatic. Thanks for the hospitality.
