Gather Inn

Sunshine coming through the windows and a gorgeous sea view made for a lovely afternoon at The Gather Inn. I was there for a networking event last week, and it was brilliant. The place has a relaxed feel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll be back, thank you.

The nachos were outstanding, and the bar is lovely with drinks at reasonable prices. I’d asked for easy access, and the team put me in room 5. There’s just one small step, then level access. The bar and reception staff were especially great, and the service overall was fantastic. A few small things could be better: no toiletries are supplied, the TV is quite small, and the bar shuts at 22:00. Even so, I’d highly recommend it.

For the price, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. It’s outside the town centre, though still close enough to get where you need to go.

The views were good and the venue itself was nice enough for the birthday party, but the food was awful, cheap and basic. The chicken nuggets were among the worst dishes. Their outside had a sweaty, unmentionable sort of texture. I’d use the venue again, but bring your own food.
